Stay Compliant

Specifying complete systems crucial to UL 325 compliance

Underwriters Laboratories (UL) has mandated that all commercial door operators bearing the UL label must be enabled with constant pressure to close functionality or continuously monitored external safety devices… and be tested, registered and listed together as a system. This means that when specifying commercial door operators, you will want to specify a complete solution, including the external entrapment zone protection devices, in order for the commercial door operator system to be UL compliant. Safety devices can stop a commercial door from closing if an obstruction is detected in order to protect people, vehicles and other equipment.

Choose from these safety devices:

Light Curtain (LC-36A)
Provides 36 inches of coverage to keep your customers, employees and equipment safe.

Monitored Dual-Sided Photo Eyes (CPS-OPEN4)
Equipped with dual-sided infrared sensors for maximum security.

Red/Green Light (RGL24LY)
Light will change from ashing red to solid green when the door reaches the full open position to exit safely.

Optical Edge System (OES)
Infrared optical sensors deliver dependable protection for sectional and rolling style doors.

Timer Light Status Card (TLS1CARD)
Provides special functionality to control auxiliary devices such as lights, bells, horns, strobes and other warning devices.

LiftMaster offers a complete line of commercial door operators and safety devices that are UL compliant and engineered to work together as one compliant system, and are delivered all in one package to the job site.
