Rated 1 out of 5 by from Awful manual, dumb display “Consult the user manual for code” displayed on the opener device! Code 1-5 - why can’t the display simply translate the code? Problems with this every year! Buy it and you get lots of frustration absolutely free!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Opener is Great - Homelink Connectivity Poor Had this installed recently replacing an older one. Opener works great and the app works well, but I can't make it sync with my BMW (2011) or Honda (2017) Homelink transmitters. Bought the recommended Homelink bridge and it still doesn't work after several attempts. Disappointing I can't use either cars Homelink. I hung on the customer service hold music after waiting a while.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from New Electonic Travel Adjustment is very Imprecise I have owned several LiftMaster's and this review applies to all the Elite and higher models. I bought the new 8557W, and overall it is an Excellent unit. BUT, the close and open travel adjustment has now been changed from a simple slot screwdriver and gear adjust on older models, to the new electronic button. You must stop the unit by electronic button control to establish the up and down travel length. In the old system I could adjust in less than 4 minutes and get it exactly right. On the new electronic close and open travel, it took me near 45 minutes, with the unit overheating and requiring me to wait 15 minutes to cool down. The units adjustment is very imprecise. As an example when trying to set the down travel, I stop the unit 4" higher than the floor, then recycle to test. With a 4" gap, the unit thinks its at the floor and stops perfectly. So you have to plan on a figuring a gap of 4" in order for the unit to close at the spot you want. Way to sloppy and imprecise. Bring back the old gear adjustment.
