LiftMaster NASCAR Sponsorships

It's time to go racing! For the first time this season, LiftMaster® will serve as primary sponsor of Kasey Kahne and the No. 5 Hendrick Motorsports team at Charlotte Motor Speedway. This weekend's race is the first of three primary sponsorships with Kasey and team, and is also the longest race on the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series schedule.

Charlotte Motor Speedway has been good to Kasey over the years, as he has collected four wins, 13 top 10s and nine top-five finishes at the 1.5-mile track. Three of his four Charlotte wins have come in the 600-mile race, and his most recent win at the track came in his 300th start in May 2012.

In addition to proudly racing with LiftMaster on his No. 5 Chevrolet SS this weekend, Kasey will also honor a member of the military that made the ultimate sacrifice in support of NASCAR's 600 Miles of Remembrance. Sergeant First Class Riley Gene Stephens will be featured on the windshield of Kasey's car. Sergeant Stephens, 39, was assigned to 1st Battalion, 3rd Special Forces Group (Airborne), Alpha Company as a Special Forces Medical Sergeant when he died Sept. 28, 2012, of wounds received from small-arms fire in Wardak Province, Afghanistan.

And for those fans that can't get quite enough racing, Kasey will pull double duty this weekend and pilot JR Motorsports' No. 5 Chevrolet in the 300-mile NASCAR XFINITY race on Saturday.

Sunday's 600-mile race will be the 12th of the season and will air at 6 pm ET on Fox.

After claiming 2004 Sprint Cup Rookie of the Year honors, Kahne emerged as a championship contender in just his third full Cup season. He won a series-high six races and recorded a career-best six pole positions before finishing eighth in the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup in 2006. Kahne notched a career-best fourth-place result in the championship standings in 2012 - his first season with Hendrick Motorsports - on the strength of two wins, four pole positions, 12 top-five finishes and 19 top-10s.

In 2013, Kahne accomplished another two-win season and earned his way into the Chase for the fourth time in his Sprint Cup Series career. This past season, Kahne added another win to his career Sprint Cup total of 17.
